what causes rear axle end play. 98 explorer, limited slip 3.73 ratio i believe. both axles move in and out alot. I took the axles out and the c clips and axles dont look worn.

I have a 85 ranger 2wd with a 302, c-4 tranny and 7.5 3.73 rear end. Tires are 31x10.50x15. The c-4 has a new filter, new vaccum modulator and a new fluid in it. It seems to shift out of second quick. If i get on the throttle then it will stay in 2nd long enough but when shifting into 3rd i...
