oops - tach and spedo don't work now just replaced the cluster lights - 3 of the 6 were inop. now my spedo and tach do not work. what did i do or not do?

just replaced my 84 ranger with a nice 98 xlt 2wd. I'm fortunate enough to be the 2nd owner the rig that is totally stock and been maintained by the local dealer. i guess if any one has any advice on the obvious mods and concerns that i need to address. I'm a hunter and would like to get...
