After over a month of driving with my new Duraspark and holley 350, definately more power, still haven't tried to work out the problem with my cable giving a bit of pull on the throttle shaft so it won't idle down whenever I come to a light- COLD BLOODED as hell, so for the first two minutes of driving have to keep stabbing the throttle to keep it running, still love my Ranger!!

But it is time to get my oil pressure gauge working again, and my temp. Worked fine before I yanked all the wiring out, put it all together with my new ignition system por all the diagrams, but those two gauges will not work, first where can I get a wiring diagram that I can trace those wires? Any suggestions?? How do they work anyway?? I know there is some resistance kind of thing to make them show movement??

Here's a link where you can find wiring diagrams.

But what you really should do is get aftermarket gauges that are mechanical. The electric won't give a truly accurate reading, because like you said they use resistance. The sensor on the engine changes resistance with temp/press. The mechanical gauges IMO will give a more accurate reading and aren't hard to hook up.
