Wheel Spacers/Adapters & Dayton M/T's

[1993Ranger4x4]

Okay found a pretty good deal i think, dayton timberline M/Ts, i know they are discontinued,

4 33x12.5x15 tires with about 70% tread left mounted on black 15x10 d window type wheels.

The wheels are 5x5.5 but come with adapters that are 5x4.5. is it okay to run these adapters, will it do any damage?

Also are these decent tires? I will only be spending 400 on the 4 tires, wheels and adapters. Does this sound like a decent deal?

They look to be in good tread. Only problem I know of with adapters/spacers is extra bearing wear.

sas time lol j.k i dont see a problem running adapters just check them and make sure they are tight after 50 miles or so

maybe not SAS but im going to have to do something...My little 3.0 wont be happy trying to persuade those 33's to move!

Ya, 4.0 has np with my 31's. Though I try to only do it in rain/snow to save my truck the stress...

What is tq for lug nuts anyways... I always use my 345 ft lb tq gun.

Fords PTS website says for the 1993 ranger 100 lb ft.

i just checked for a 1999 and its also 100 lb ft. be careful not to over torque those lugs! I

yes 100 lbs dont ever tighten your lug nuts till your impact stops turning can cause major problems


haha a 345lb gun i would die my 710lb gun doesnt always get the job done on serous stuff. but then again being a mechanic is my profession

I only tighten with impact till nuts are flush. Soon as nut hits fully I stop which impact. Might hit it 2-3 times more after I take my finger off. I never do it till it stops while my fingers on it. Only time my gun had problems was on bed bolts and shackle mount bolts. Other then that I haven't had a problem, unless it was a clearance issue cause it's fat...

Ohh and it's also electric... Didn't wanna bother getting air tools when I know I'll only use it now and then.

how thick are the adaptors? and whats the offset and width of the rim. further out will kill bearings a lot quicker.
