Do they make a kit, or has anyone ever done it? Trying to look for a cheaper way to lift my ifs, and getting rid of torsion bars. 99 4x4 4.0 ranger.. Thinking about taking some F150 coils and putting blocks under the leafs.

there is no cheap way to remove tbars. just crack the tbars up and you will get free lift.

Already did that but the ride is pretty stiff

Clearing 31s no problem though, could probably get 32x11.5s in, just wanted to go with 33x12.5s or 10.5s (if they make them)

And just curious how do those straight pipes sound on your 4.0?

I have a 99 4.0 and w/ a full torsion bar crank i fit 33's on the stock 16" mag rims.

Flexy-sexy :D

Nice alright that makes me hopeful, I'm debating 33x12.5r15 or 32x11.5r15.. It's got 3.73s, 7.5" rear and a d35 IFS up front. What do you guys think I should go with?

There is a kit out there that a fellow on one of the other ranger forums makes to convert these trucks to coil over in the front. Not cheap still....looking at around $1200 in shocks and coils still.

Might as well do an sas at that point! That's crazy spendy, what's the kit called?

Not sure if it has a name...it is just a few brackets that allow a clover to be mounted where the factory shock does.

Do you suppose I could make one by welding coil buckets from an f150 where they would mount their coil?

Just on the Lower control arm at the shock?
