Hello y'all! I've been beating my head against this for months. The abs stopped working on my 1998 ranger 5 speed. When I swapped out the sensor on the diff, it broke off and I had to open it and drill out the old sensor case.
New duralast sensor, new fluid, new gasket. It worked for a couple weeks and my speedometer started to jump around over 70mph and it would drop to zero when I swerved right or left. Sensor was dead so I replaced it under warranty.
Worked a couple weeks and same outcome. I ended up replacing it two more times with duralast and changing the fluid out. Now I have a ngk sensor and wire harness and it still has the same problem. I'm thinking it's behind the dash somewhere.
Any help is appreciated!
