Would I have any trouble with clearances placing these size tires on my stock 1991 Ford Ranger 2.3 2WD 5 Speed truck? Right now it has P215/70R-14's and I would like to go a size bigger. If you are running these tires please let me know how they perform. :icon_twisted:

They will fit fine. I had them on my 84, which had smaller front wheel openings than your 91. Traction wise I was not that impressed with them. I didn't think they went much better than a normal all season because the tread pattern was fairly tight. They wore well, but winter traction SUCKED because of the hard rubber compound.

If you want a better tire, you can get BFG A/Ts, or General Grabber A/T2's in a 27 x 8.5 R14. That size is nearly identical to 225 70 14. Also, they are more expensive but you can get Toyo Open Country A/Ts in 225 70 14s. Google is your friend. I know it's somewhat hard to find aggressive tires in a 14. Most places either don't carry them or have to special order them.

I've been running those exact tires on my 98 daily driver for years now and have been very very pleased with them. They have exceeded my expectations for traction, ride, and mileage. I got mine from walmart so long ago i can't remember what year it was... i'm thinking it was 06... and i have put many miles on them and they are just starting to wear out. Everyone has a different experience with products but i can personally say i would definately buy them again unless i upgade to 15" rims. I would also have to say i have put them to that "all terrain" test through the years and haven't been disappointed with them. Trick is knowing what your vehicle is capable of and how to drive in the conditions you are going through.

+1 I love my Uniroyals. :headbang:

Plus they're about the cheapest damn tire you can put on a Ranger.

Ran them back when they were still called Liberator All Terrain, back before UniRoyal put the Uniroyal name on them never had a problem with them thought they did pretty good in the winter especaily compareing them to the summer tires they replaced. Ran them for about 5 years with no complaints comutted to college , and eventualy back and forth from work, till the truck they were on was parked approx 35k on the tires. Actually if i dont the get FX4 rims i was looking at was planning on getting another set of the Liberators when i complete the restoration of my 92.

Infact I still have them though after 9 years they are starting show slight traces of dry rot, sadly cause they still have about 50% tread left.
