After Turtle Wax discontinued its line of Endurance Jet Black trim colorant, I went looking for a long lasting black trim and tire colorant. Most I found were silicone based and lasted two to three weeks at best. That's an expensive and time consuming hobby.
I finally found a black vinyl dye called ATG Perfect Color, available on AMZ. It's a cream type that comes in a tube with a sponge and enough product to do an entire Ranger. A folded wet paper towel will take care of any slop. It works on tires, too, producing a "new tire" but not shiny finish.
This was applied about two months ago, and looks like the day I applied it. The tires are about 2-1/2 years old.
