Timing chain setup

Good afternoon. I am in the process of replacing the timing chain and gears on my 1988 2.9 L I can't find any information on setting it up. I assume the dots line up cam sprocket down and crank sprocket up.
I just want to verify that is right before I put it all back together.

The manual I looked at doesn't specify. They say align the marks like it came off. The marks being together is a good guess though.

Cool! thank you. My Chiltons manual tells me everything I needed to rebuild the FM146 5 speed but not how to setup the timing chain, weird.
