With a Ford frame/engine and Heep body you will be having fun :)

That kid is totally spoiled! I never had an electric hoist growing up!

Yeah actually a ton has been done! I'll get some pictures together and post up tomorrow! And yeah I guess I am spoiled haha that's over 50 years of accumulated tools in my grandpas shop

so its been like 3 years since iv updated this... but i remembered the thread today and was like "hey, **** it! i might as well finish off the thread!"
so ill just pick up where i left off and try to post pictures in as good of order as i can.

so i got my front cross member installed and got my final approach angle.

so if i remember correctly this was at a time that i was really interested in learning how to TIG weld, so i decided to build a new gas tank for the truck. we had a section of 1/8th inch stainless tube that i decided to build the tank out of, it ended up holding about 18 gallons of gas.

i also had to build a new fan shroud, which ended up being one of the hardest and most satisfying fab projects i have ever done. i think it turned out really really nice. i wish a had more pictures of it being built, but i cant seem to find many (this was all done like 3 years ago) but ill post the couple that i have.

then i turned my attention to paint, interior and wiring. i used a universal wiring kit from E-Z Wiring which was super easy to install and never gave me a single issue.

you can kinda see the finished fan shroud in this one

the original data plate

next i needed a bed. when i bought the Willys cab, it didnt come with a bed so i decided a flat bed is what id be going with.

so after that i tied up all of the loose ends and got the truck on the road and on the trails. i also build this nifty tool box out of a willys tailgate. its designed to hide about half of it under the bed so it looks smaller than it actually is.

and for the final event here are some wheeling pictures:D

so thats where it sits now. i was driving it for about 2 years, and then i joined the army, so now im stationed in Germany and wasnt able to bring it with me, but my grandpa is taking care of it at his house where we built it together. ive got about a year and a half left in Germany and then when i get back stateside i plan on getting it shipped to wherever i go and continue building it. im missing a lot of pictures of the build process and A LOT of pictures of wheeling it. hope you guys enjoy and ill try and get online and answer any questions anyone might have:icon_thumby:
