swap from 2.9 to 2.8

I have a 1987 bronco II manual (fm145), 4x4 with a blown 2.9 in it and I have a 1983 2wd ranger auto(c3) with a good running 2.8 in it. I was wondering what would be necessary to swap the 2.8 into the bronco II? whether or not the 2.9 flywheel will work with the 2.9 etc. any/ all help would be great, thanks :-D

As for the fuel thing just by pass the high pressure fuel pump and run the low pressure one to the carb or you can do a TBI swap to it.

The 2.8 has a mechanical pump. You don't need the electric pump.

I got stuff mixed up but one problem with running the mechanical pump on the 2.9 tank.....if you try then you will be trying to pump through the lower pressure pump wont work to well. Take off the mechanical pump, put a metal plate over it and use the low pressure fuel pump.
