I have a 94 Ranger 4.0 auto and I seem to be having some issues with it , after driving for awhile (about 45 miles) I turn the truck off and after sitting about 30 minutes try to start and it wants to run rough, stumbling like it wants to die. Give it a minute it runs fine. Turn it off and start again and it runs fine.:annoyed:
Can anyone hip me to whats goin on with my truck?

Thanks in advance,
DCarey

do you have a CEL on? What about general maintenance? Has it been happening over time or all of a sudden?

Don't start ripping out sensors yet but keep an eye on the MAF. Make sure all the basics are glued together properly. (i.e. hose clamps on intake and all the other stuff)

Good luck

you might want to try lightly tapping on the idle air control valve when its running poorly. I have seen it before where the vehicle will exhibit the exact same conditions as yours, and its nothing more than a sticking idle air valve that takes a few seconds to reset back to an idle once it has become hot and then cooled slightly.
