My '94 has 2" spacers in the front, extended radius arms, and F-250 shock towers. So total ride height is +2". I am looking at some smooth bodies like the Fox 2.0's and the 5100's but really can't find what I'm looking for.

So, 2" of coil lift + 3" in shock tower height means I'm looking for a 5" lift shock, right? Fox doesn't list their lengths, only what model it fits.

If stock shocks are C9.25" and E14.0" then the shock I am looking for should be about a C13" and E20"+? However, that's only 7" of travel and I am sure I am pulling more than that. Anyone know of a 13" compressed length and 20"+ extended length shock that will work for me?

Thanks!

If you have the time, remove the spring and do an actual physical measurement of collapsed and extended lengths. No time? Then use a tape measure and a piece of paper and do a drawing to scale. Don't forget that the actual wheel travel is approximately 1.5 times the shock open and closed lengths because of the way the suspension is designed. So 7" of shock travel is actually 10.5" of wheel travel.

Ah, okay, I was accounting for like an 8% difference, not a 50% difference. I do believe I have my droop measurements without shocks somewhere. So 7" shock travel should be enough. I am crunched for time/unable to get to this truck being that I'm using a lift/garage that isn't mine and is far away.

Thanks for the info. But the 13" collapsed sounds correct? Because that only accounts for whatever extra height the shock tower gives, correct? So, 9.25"+3.5"ish should give me somewhere just under or at 13".

Hopefully you can download and open this pdf chart of Monroe shocks. Some great soul lost in the internet made this and I saved it. Feel free to save it and pass it on. You should be able to cross reference to the shock you want.

Thanks for the link, I will definitely keep that for the books.

What do you think of these shocks for this application?
Stock: 5.1" 14.26" 9.25"
Eyelet - Eyelet 6.5" 19.450" 12.850" 985-24-003

It's a Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP.
Since the upper mount is a little more than 3" higher, this shock shouldn't bottom out and should allow for more droop, right?
