Installed a BTF 4.5 long travel front suspension that naturally pushed the front tire position out. The rear is now about 5.5in difference from the front.
What can I do to make the rear more flush? I don’t want to do massive spacers. Is there a rear axel upgrade I should look for?
I will be installing new wheels and tires (likely 17” wheels with 33in tires. Stock wheels/tires are shown here

Moving this to suspension…

Also, stock the width between front and rear is slightly different but most people don’t realize it. Your options are probably a wheel spacer or try to source a wider rear axle

Thanks! I’ve got a buddy that has some wheels and tires I’m going to borrow and mount to see what it will more realistically look like.

Any recommendations on what type of axel to source?

Ford 8.8-Inch Rear Axle History & Specs
---
Axle Width Differences:
  • 1990-1992 Ford Ranger 8.8-Inch Axle – 56.50 inches
  • 1993-2009 Ford Ranger 8.8-inch Axle – 58.50 inches
  • 2010-2011 Ford Ranger 8.8-Inch Axle – 58.50 inches *
  • 1991-2003 Ford Explorer 8.8-Inch Axle – 59.625 inches
  • 1989-1997 Ford Aerostar 8.8-Inch Axle – 62.50 inches
  • 1983-1996 Ford Bronco 8.8-Inch Axle – 65.125 inches
  • 1986-1993 Ford Mustang 8.8-Inch Axle – 59.25 inches
  • 1994-2004 Ford Mustang 8.8-Inch Axle – 61.25 inches
  • 1989-1999 Ford Crown Victoria 8.8-Inch Axle – 62.50 inches
* The 2010-2011 Ford Ranger 8.8-inch axle is actually narrower and has shorter shafts than the 2009 and earlier models. Ford used rear disc brakes on the 2010-2011 Rangers, so Ford Shortened the axle housing and shafts to compensate for the extra width created by the disc brake setup. These shafts are not going to work in a 2009 and older Ford Ranger 8.8-inch axle.

Pick one and make it happen...

84 +/- ? F150 had 4.5 bolt pattern in the 8.8 version, only 28 spline.
you might be able to put those shafts in a later years housing.
or get a regular F150 and have the holes drilled in the axles. depending on wheel center hole maybe reduce the hub diameter too.

EDIT: I don't see a listing on R-A for those 4.5 pattern shafts, might be hard to find.

I thought F-150 and full size Bronco were all 5x4.5
