Hi everyone, I have a 92 ranger with a 7.5 rear end and am looking at putting an 8.8 rear end from a 94 in it. Has anyone done this and is it an easy swap to do?

1. Many have done it
2. It's easy IF you know which end of the wrench to use and know how to use jack stands and wheel chocks.

The width on a 4x4 isn't a huge deal unless things are tight already... I think it's only an inch or 1/2" on each side.

Make sure the gear ratio's match, or you'll need to grab the front axle from the '94 as well, those are the same between '92 and '94 so that's simple so just have to swap the drivers side beam or pumpkin (whole beam is easier, less bolts and no gear oil...)
