When I bought my Ranger I wanted to add a rear sway bar. When I went to the wreaking yard to get one I found Ford had welded the mounting brackets to the axle housing, so I gave up on the idea. This weekend I was at a small wrecking yard that had a 92 Ranger with the bed removed and cab crushed so they could haul it down for scrap. I noticed it had a factory rear sway bar that was clamped to the rear axle with U-bolts. So I bought the sway bar with all the bolts and brackets for $20. The sway bar bolted right into my 1997 Ranger.
