I went and saw the Ronald Reagan movie on Sunday. I wanted to see it because I had seen previews of it, but Rotten Tomatoes only gave it an 18%. Some of the reviews weren't that great, but they were also political. The movie doesn't really get into politics such as republicans or democrats, so any American would like this movie.

The movie shows his life from a boy to being an actor and president of the actors' guild and then becoming Governor and President. It's focused on his battle against communism and its infiltration into the film industry in the 1930's-1940's. Then the cold war with Russia and the Berlin Wall. It finally concludes with him having Alzheimer's and wanting to still be able to ride his horses before he died. It's a tearjerker at the end.

I thought it was a great movie!

I went and saw it Sunday night as well. I was the only person in the theater.

I couldn't get my wife to go because she saw the bad reviews and wasn't grasping the concept that the "bad" reviews were just brigading liberals who hadn't even seen the movie.

The movie was simply outstanding. Reagan was the president of my childhood. I'm so happy I saw it in the theater.

I was too young to vote when he was president. From what I remember, he was the best president we have had in my lifetime. He had plenty of faults, because he is human, but it seemed the country was in a second heyday during his two terms. I would like to see the movie but I refuse to see it in local theaters because of their policies on certain subjects.

Dennis Quaid did an excellent job playing Reagan.

If this was a fictional story and not about an actual president, more people would probably watch it.

he was a hoot.

i will probably see it when you can watch it at home. it looks good though

My Grandpa used to be a Reagan look alike. I remember an old VHS he had of a video from back in the 80's, not sure if my parents have it still. I'll have to see if there's a picture of him as Reagan somewhere.
