Anybody have any thoughts on the new Ranger Super Duty being introduced in Australia this year? The specs are impressive. 9000+ lbs towing and 4000+ lbs payload. V6 diesel.

the way it should be

The specs rival the F150 in a smaller package.

It's been covered some in another thread. I like the idea but not the price, but the reason it exists in the world market, is because they don't have the full sized trucks like we do. Part of it is because of how tight the streets and parking is, especially in European communities. As far as the Aussies, they are a different breed. They seem to have the space. So, it may be a market availability thing, or a lack of interest in a bigger truck (Except for land trains. They are the only ones I know who do that. They aren't allowed in town but in the regions between towns, they use them a lot).

Aussies two tracks are set up by 70 series/Hilux/Ranger sized trucks. So a bigger truck takes more of a beating because two wheels have to run out of the normal track. I have heard that mentioned for reasons to avoid the fullsize Ram's that have been imported there for a few years.
