im about to order my new rims and tires:yahoo:

im getting the cragar soft 8's 16x8in with 5in backspacing with 235 75 r16 destination at.

i know nothing of backspacing... will the 5in backspacing make the bigger size tire rub?? stock 93 ranger 2wd

Backspacing is the distance from the rear edge of the rim to the wheel mounting surface (the larger the backspace, the narrower your tire track width will be).

5" is a bit much IMO. I would go no less than 4" backspace (I think the stock 14" rims on a 2WD were around 3.75" if I'm not mistaken).

I'd also suggest 16x7" rims for that size tire.

okay i just changed the selection from 16x8 to 16x7 so i have the option of 4in backspacing... rangers have a 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern right? ill go with the 4in backspacing and someone told me that stock was 4.5 for rangers...?

I know stock BS on RBV 15x7" wheels is 4.5", however it's 3.75" on stock 15x6" rims.
Being the 14s are also 6" (or was it even 5.5"?) I was just going by that.
4" is pretty much the standard BS in 16" rims so I'd stick with that. You could get some ¼" thick wheel shims to make it a 3.75" BS equivalent afterward if you want.

Yes, 5x4.5" bolt circle. :icon_thumby:
