Hey I have a 1990 ranger with the 2.3L Lima, I have no spark. For a little back story I’ve completely rebuilt the engine and added a turbo from an updated thunderbird system. I’ve replaced every sensor and module in the whole engine bay because when it was running the cluster had no coolant temp and a whole bunch of vain air codes and sensor issues and was burning quite a bit of oil. Now I have fuel pressure and I’m trying to not wash out brand new piston rings but I’ve ran through the whole spark system (plugs, wires, coil packs, dis module and all the wireing for it). I have constant 12v power to the packs but no signal out of either signal wire and it’s the same with the old dis module as well as the new one. I’m a bit stuck.

If you forgot to hook something up, the computer should be able to tell you. Do a code scan.

Do you have injector pulse but not spark? On that system I believe (haven't looked in a long time) the crank sensor goes straight to the DIS module that gives an rpm signal to the computer for injector pulse

The '89-94 crank sensors are kinda dumb and like to give out randomly but it's usually hot then they'll work when they cool down, at least that's what the one bad crank sensor I've had did.
