New to it all

Hey everyone,

Got myself a 98 4.0 v6 around 6 months ago. Wish I knew about this site sooner lol. I’m trying to make her into an off-road/camping rig. So far I’ve redone most of the front suspension (previous owners hit a deer), put a 5 inch lift kit on from rough country, and put some 33 tires on. I’m finding it decently difficult to come across some kind of bed rack for my stepside bed. The power steering also loves to squeak a lot. I’ve changed the pump for it, flushed the system twice and still have it going on (probably going to go for the rack and pinion next). I want to look into a coil over conversion at some point seeing as the torsion bar can get in the way. This is the first vehicle I’ve bought trying to fix and learning how everything works. Well that’s all if anyone has any suggestions or some decently budgeted builds let me know!

Sounds like a fun project. Not much out there for stepside beds. Pretty much stuck with "universal" parts that require modification fit.
