Location of new shifting base

[Iron Ranger]

Where would the new shifting base be on a mustang t-5 transmission? Would it be a few inches under the bench seat, or more towards the center of the bench seat? I want to keep the bench seat and not go to bucket if possible.

I.E. 302 swap into a 92 2.3 manual 2wd
