Is my torsen dying?

Hey folks. Have a stock 8.8 31 spline with the torsen, this morning I went to leave the gas station which has an incline going out of the lot onto the road. They just plowed it so it was slippery.

Went to accelerate slowly and I started rolling back (tire slip) and I heard a faint ratcheting type sound. Like a ratchet wrench.

Dropped it to 4hi and got up but the same sound occurred.

is my torsen going to fail?

Sounds like it might be failing. Any one know a way to test your limited slip? I get one wheel peel and I have l/s also. Try engaging the e brake see if that helps

You will have to remove the diff cover and check for wear.

As for testing a L/S you jack one wheel up and measure how much torque it takes to turn the wheel there is a spec for this. Typically 70-100 ft lb
