I am outside at this moment trying to hook up the the fan relay to the ignition but don’t know which wire. 94 Mazda B3000.

IAC Valve gets 12v with key on, as does MAF sensor heater, it would be the Red wire on either

Both are powered by EEC(PCM) Fuse(#4, 30amp) thru the EEC Relay closing with key on

Relay only draws .3amp so OK to add to any circuit

So you are saying just hook on the sensor wiring?

Yes. But only to energize the coil of the relay. The power for the fan itself should come from it's own fused 12v supply.

This message composed solely of recycled electrons. Go green!

Use the eec relay for the fan relay coil and wire the fan power directly from the battery with a inline fuse at the power dist box terminal from the battery.

Yes, to the above, eric and kim

If you want the relay to activate, close, when key is on, then splice into one of those Red wires, and hook it to relays coil(85 or 86)
Assuming relay's coil is also grounded(85 or 86), it will activate with key on and deactivate with key off
