Does anyone know of a how-to on setting the gears up on a dana 35/8.8
Like shim placement and how to tell what shims I need? Allso on the grinding on the cross-pin. I am going to 5.13s

Also, where you grind is right at the tip of one or two ring gear teeth, not the cross pin itself (and is only needed on the 8.8").

Which? Different axles.

Just take your time and do as much research as possible. Bearing preload, gear alignment and gearlash are very important. Its right or it aint there are no grey areas.
