Hi everyone, i've been running my 84 bII with a 1.21 venturis 2100 mc carb, its been a little hard to tune since it is too big, been looking for a 1.08 venturis with no luck, but i've found a holley 2300 350 cfm, in the tech library says it is an upgrade from the mc 2100, but im doubtful since it is a 350 cfm carb as my current 2100. Will i have the same issues tunning it or is the holley different so it will run better despite of the higher cfms? thanks!

Many people have done the holley swap still there are many that dont recomended it since you have to swap out jets, it was really designed for the 3.8 v6 just fits our 2.8s

swaping jets shouldnt be a problem, is the venturi size im worried, i understand you don't get enough air speed to draw and atomize fuel right with too large venturis, that is the problem im having right now with the 1.21 2100...

I believe the Holley has the proper Venturi size.

Anyone else has info or experience on the holley 2300?
btw thanks lil pony

holley 2300 work pretty well on the 2.8, but they run best with bigger jets 57 up i ran 58's in mine, your 2100 would probally do the same1.21 venturi run pritty decent with 55 jets in them but don't go much lower with it it will starve for fuel

hehe, im running on 41s right now, although im at 9000 ft, I tried bigger jets, but when i was going uphill and needed to downshift, as i let go of the pedal it died, then was hard to start, like it had too much fuel. Oh and plugs look great...

I ran the Holley 350 cfm carb and it ran awesome!!!!! I don't remember what jets I used but the Venturi was not a problem. Plus you can find them fairly cheap and if it doesn't work for you they will sell on eBay for a decent price.

Thats great, although im in ecuador, not sure if i can find holley jets very easily, are they holley-only? cause i have a lot of ford jets...

your running 41's on your 2100 1.21 carb? nothing under 50's ran in my 2100 1.21 venturi carb thats way low

then maybe I have a weak spark or something? i thought they were too small when i bought the truck, but didn't ran any better with bigger jets, if engine was under load and i completely let go of the pedal it died...
