2.3L ('02-'11) Help 2001 2.3l automatic xlt ( 2001 2.3)

Metal shavings in transmission pan , and like copper wire shavings . Curious of what that means and when I put it in gear it will jump but won't go forward or backwards just jumps

Also need to know what interchanges with it been having a very hard time finding a decent priced transmisson

On the 2.3 they changed the bell housing pattern in 04 but I don't know about the wiring or computer
