I’m picking up a set of Alcoa wheels, which I believe are the gray finish. Is there a way take that off so I can have the polished aluminum finish?

I'm currently stripping some factory aluminum wheels with aircraft stripper.
most strippers are now the safer "non-methylene chloride" and don't work as good, IMHO
the real meth stuff is nasty.
I use it outdoors only, with thick gloves. it goes thru nitrile on contact.
Klean-strip works for me, there are others.

I doubt they are polished under the paint...

I figured that, but I don’t see why I couldn’t polish them myself
