fuel pump

Hi, I need some help. I have a 2007 4.0L SOHC 4x4 that I have put a new engine and before I put my new engine in i had issues with my fuel pump and so i still am having issues with it. I also put a new fuel pump in also. I have checked all fuses and relays, and they are all good. Take the fuel pump out and hook it straight to the battery and it kicks on and work.

Yes, I have checked that, and it is still good

So you have 12v at the inertia switch? If so there is literally just wire between it and the pump. Gotta be broken or corroded somewhere. The connector to the fuel pump is a common problem.

Or a bad ground connection.

Do you hear the pump run when its installed in the truck? It should run for 2 seconds when you turn the key on.
Yes- check fuel pressure at schrader valve
No- check for power at the connector ( only 2 seconds of power when key turned on )
