I replaced the fuel sender about a year ago with a used unit. Today I started it up and was NOT getting any fuel, so I disconnected the mechanical fuel pump and installed a electric fuel pump, it could only pump a few droplets of gasoline!
So now I am not getting gas in the fuel line at the pump, so I am thinking I either got a pinhole in metal tube(the sender), a plugged strainer, or a crack in the hose at the sender. (OR a empty gas tank, but it SHOULD BE FULL the last I checked)
Would you agree that if I put my mouth to the fuel line where it connects to the pump, and I SHOULD be able to blow back, if not something is plugged. But If I can blow fairly easy, then I got a air leak.
Do you agree with this?
and what would be the harm of forcing compressed air back through the line to "maybe" unplug it?
