Is it possible to swap a 98-newer front end onto 97 mazda b4000 ? I just got the old core support out and had a newer core support for a 2000 and just realized the body mounts on the 97 are narrower.

It's possible, just a bunch of work. Sounds like you've already figured out what you need to do.

Body lines between the doors, fenders, hood, and cowl will all match up. It has been done without changing the core support, but IMO swapping the support is definitely the right way to do it. Honestly not too sure how the late core support will mate up to the early inner fenders, but I think you can manage it if you can handle the core support change.

As you've seen the mounts for the frame is wider, think I've read others running into that before when dropping a later cab onto an earlier frame. You could see about harvesting a set of frame mounts off an earlier truck which should place them in the right place. Alternatively you could do like was done in this article and make your own.

Good luck with your project and welcome to TRS!
