My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
should be an rbv.

That was from back when North America was too good for a measily little Ranger...

If you don't need a Fiesta get a F-150 they said... :buttkick:

The government has to get a return on it's investment in Government Motors. So, GM it is. As a side note, GM owned AM General when the HUMVEE was first bid and built.

that started as a amc holding if i remember right.

later on gm bought hummer rights and had the h1 and h2 built to their sales spec..

and of course am general did use a gm based powertrain that was already established in the cucv/1008-x rigs... technically...or rather actually it was a detroit diesel...which was a gm sub at the time.

then the detroit setup was remanded back to gm when they sold detroit diesel off and the rights to build the 6.x diesel slugs was bought by am generals GEP side....

thankfully...because that actually made those turds worth owning.....best part of that of course, having navistar beef up the castings.

now, looking at thehybrid powertrain options that humvee chassis may get extended a bit...i can only hope.

I was assuming this would be about how the CEO decided to lock out tuning their ECU's because his daughters boyfriend somehow wiped a camshaft???? Very funny.

Any car made in the last 20 years is a massively impressive Rube Goldberg machine and its a wonder it functions. I won't claim to have any insight into what the armed forces want to do with their equipment. I do know that having to implement security measures on CAN bus seems like a problem that doesn't have to exist but I won't bite the hand that feeds me.

Right off the bat remember govt gets emissions deleted stuff... there goes a lot of the complexity especially with a diesel.
