Hello, I have a 03 ranger FX4/level 2. Pinion seals was done on rear with new yoke by ford. Front was done as well but no yoke. It [rear] is already leaking again after about 2 years, maybe 20,000 miles. Anyone else find the ford seals to be crap? Any recommendations on best quality seals? I know I read of pinion seals made with the lip in slightly different local so it misses worn grooves. Anyone else hear of that? I have a dial torque wrench and will probably do the crush sleeve and reset since I am not sure if Ford just Screwed something up. Mostly Just looking to find out if someone found a better seal?

Go with National/Timken seals and never look back. It might be leaking because whoever installed it might have nicked the seal installing the yoke or didn't install the seal properly.

They do make redi sleeve for the rear for the pinion shaft if you have a groove worn in it.
