Factory Ford first gen winch mount

Oh my, recon if there was room you would already be using a winch. I can put one in there but it wouldn't be big enough to pull a log out of the pathway. Have to cut the mount all to pieces to get it in. My ranger aint much to look at, I was trying to keep things under the bumper for protection. Guess ill try to fab up what tw205 has already done. His aint far from being a snow plow. Picked up a piece of 2x6 tube steel with the plate. Get the welder warmed up. Dirty

Seems these OEM winch Bull bumpers, Warn or anything else that era are like hens teeth to find. I can't even find the dimensions to fabricate it. Ive tried every search engine and all combination of words i can think of. Got some feelers out to a few salvage yards i know but not a nibble. Dirty

I am just going to extrapolate off of pictures and the Badlands plate. Draw it up in cad and have a local shop burn the vertical plates with a laser table.

Just make your own. 1/4" flat plate to brackets from the frame and build a bumper around it. I built one for my Nissan using the original bumper brackets and tow hook mounts on the bottom of my frame.

One vertical and one horizontal plate with tubular steel. Dimensions are all that is lacking. Find a plasma cutter and connect he dots. I dob a little but aint never been good at plasma.

That's good work dadswan, I like the way the winch sits down in the bumper. I could make good money around here if i could Dob like that. Never had the knack, have to try real hard to run a bead for longer than a couple of inches.

Thank you. Its no where near professional, but its stout, does what I want, and all the metal was $50. Powder coating was 500.

I'd hit rocks for sure if i paid that for paint. recon rusty black is more my posion.

Its hit rocks and has faired pretty well. I did bend one of the 2x2x1/4 angle iron when the truck slide off the rock on to it. A small scuff and the bumper did want I wanted it to.

A real actual optional grille guard/winch mount on a truck on ebay.

That's sweet. Bet it sold for good price. Paint sure is new looking. I cant have anything shinny, I'd scratch it the first day. I think Jim oaks had a OEM on a brown bronco II he had.

A huge thanks to @EquinsuOcha for sending more detailed pictures of his Ford Accessory winch mount setup!
