My buddy has a 1997 F350 4 door that he is swapping axles/suspension to acquire 4.10 gears. His parts truck is a single cab.

Can I take his original F350 axles/suspension and swap them on my 1987 F150 supercab? The rear seems straight forward, but looks like I might need a kit like this for the front?

I read somewhere the F350 front spring perches will locate in the same spot on the F150 frame but will need to drill holes and fit around the cab mount.

What’s the deal with the speed sensor on the rear end? Will I have any issues or loose my speedometer swapping axles with the 1997?

I also need opinions on the front & rear driveshafts. Will anything need to be modified or will I need to source new shafts?

Any input or previous experience would be appreciated. Thanks!

Will that effectively make a 350 of your 150?

Not quite.. a one ton has a heavier frame at the very least.. motor & tranny are different too I'd imagine.

No but it will let me achieve the look I’m after and keep grandpas truck, instead of getting rid of it. Do you have any knowledge with this to help out?

My F150 has 300/T18. His F350 has 460/C6

I had a one ton E300 & rebuilt the front end once. Had twin I-beam, I put new king pins and bushings, coil pads I made, and new bushings in those arms that held it all in place, I can't think of what those were called
It had a straight 6 300 and a c4 transmission, started with a c-6 but it went down on me on the highway and I got a C4 in a swap, changed it out on side of the highway

Might have to get creative on the driveshafts (IE take them to a shop and get them adapted/shortened).

The sensor on the rear diff was used for the speedo on the '94? and up F series with the digital drive dash, when they started with that it was just for rear ABS so you can ignore it, your speedo is driven out of the transfer case.

The 10.25" axles are set up for 3" leaf springs instead of the 2" on an F150, or is that just the front? I don't remember, been a while since I've looked that close on my F350 suspension...
