so ive been reading up on this, read several articles but havent really found any one talking about how well this works. "martin" says it works really well to add the extra clutches as long as you dont get a wheel off the ground, which is great because i never do.

i was planning on adding extra clutches and running without the friction modifier till i find an 8.8 open to put a lock-right into. to reduce chatter i was just going to add small amounts of friction modifier to my liking.

the chatter seems to be a love/hate thing, it bothers some and doesnt bother others. but i only drive this truck to the mountains, it hardly ever see's daily drive duty, as my car gets 2x the gas mileage. so i dont think chatter will be a problem for me.

so those of you who have added an extra clutch pack how well has this worked for you? i have a locked front end.

I haven't tried this, I would just like to point out that adding friction modifier after the fact will not help chatter. If it did you would never get noise or chatter from dry clutches, which is what happens when you don't soak the clutches before installing them. The modifier and gear lube mix is so thick that is won't readily flow into the space between the clutches once the spring is in place.

a lot of folks say it will help, several people say to just drive in circles in opposite directions and itll stop chatter after awhile. there is a huge debate on this. after going home and messing with the truck tho, i remember that my limited slip works very well.

so i might just add an extra clutch in there to get it to work even better.
