Dana 28 to Dana 35 swap on 83 ranger

Hi, i recently became an owner of a 83 ranger 2.8l v6, manual trans with a 5.5 lift. When i bought the truck it had a broken front right axle and it wasnt as easy as i thought it would be to find a decent one in a junk yard. but i finally did and replaced it but from everything ive seen people say junk the 28 and either go to a straight axle or the dana 35. ive seen a few things saying its not that hard to do the swap to a dana 35 but i was just wondering if anyone can give me some more info on this topic. Thank you!
