Need advice for getting the line and fitting out of the slave cylinder female part.
Here's the other story: The Master cylinder I installed failed when the plastic connecting end of the push rod broke off at the pedal.
I was prepared to get it home (I was 200 miles away...on the roadside) when I realized I couldn't lurch/start it because the start safety switch wasn't being activated. I took one of my key rings, bent it and hotwired the safety switch, and was able to lurch it in 1st gear and get it to where i could jury-rig the rod and get home.
So replacing the master cylinder and doing the bench bleed is straightforward, but can't get it out. The little plastic sleeve goes in and out, the male end goes in and out and combinations of pushing the plastic ring in and out while pushing the fitting in and out are not working.... Advise please? I have a '97 junker so ruining the line to the tranny is not the end of the world...I can replace that but still need to get the old line out....
