Bumping noise in front end when breaking 1993 Ranger XLT SC 4x4

So I'm getting a bump/thud sound in the front end when I step on the break, it doesn't matter how fast I'm going. It's constant now, it only used to happen once in awhile. However since I put my Ranger up on a make shift ramp to do an oil change, it started happening very frequently now.

I checked the Calipers, Rotors and Brakes, they are all Good. Most likely a suspension issue. What do I check and how. Thanks

Ball joints, tie rod ends, control arm bushings. You may need to pry and pull on them in order to generate enough force to get them to move. Check your wheel bearings while you are there, while not a likely source, weird things happen with wheel bearings some times.

I’d like to add sway bar links and bushings to that list.

And make sure radius arm nuts and bushings are ok.

I'd like to add that elevating the truck helps when looking for play in the aforementioned components...(i've been in the sun a lot today)

I think when I made a make shift ramp to do my oil change, it definitely did something to the bushings etc, I would only get a thump every once in awhile before I did the make shift ramp. So whatever was weak prior, I made it worse.

In my experience, a thud upon brake application was always the radius arm bushings.

If you have an extra person, you can have them apply the brakes, then shift between forward and reverse to watch for excessive movement at the frame end of the radius arm.
