Building a stable. Compatibility question.

Wonder what the wheelbase would end up being on a supercab long bed truck? 131?

That's be the same as a 07-13 Expedition EL... Or a half in longer than a 07-10 Sport Trac. HMM. Wonder if either of those had frames or unibody?

I don't remember the wheel base length on a Supercab Ranger for sure, 126"? If so, then 138" if a long bed rear frame is used.

As far as the frame question, I believe the Expedition is still body on frame. And yes, the Sport Trac is body on frame. I have no idea if either of them are split frame though. Not a big deal if you have the equipment to cut a frame or if you are looking to do a body swap. I imagine the frame on an Expedition is going to be beefier. So, a body swap is probably more realistic.

That was kinda the thought. 4x4 Expedition EL frame with long bed and supercab. Lift, V8 swap, and wide axle swap all at once...

The wheelbase of a SuperCab with stock aka short bed is 125.7"; a regular cab short box is 111.5'; a regular cab long box is 117.5" (all numbers for '98-'11)

So a SuperCab long box is 131.7" wb. Built 2, helped with 3rd.
You need to extend the frame where it separates on '98-11, replacing the short box rear section with long box one. Technically, I've always added the 6" to the rear long box section
Using Chev 64" springs allows you to bolt the front hangers in the original position (ensures the weld location is helped out by the bolting of the front spring hangers), technically moves the axle back about 5/16".
You will need to add 12" extensions for the tail lights and charcoal canister
Drive shaft needs to be 6" longer.

I saw the remains of a similar project at u pull it a few years ago.

Expedition frame is boxed so it won't come apart like a c channel frame.

For those that are curious a 97-03 F-150 standard cab cab bolts onto whatever IRS Expedition frame they tried to use.
