are General Grabber AT2's a decent tire or garbage?

anyone care to comment on the General Grabber AT2's??

when i bought my current ranger it had some 265/70/16 General Grabber AT2 on it. just was wondering what people thought of these tires and if they were any good? they are about 3/4 tread and seem to be in half decent shape as far as no road rash or scuffs on the sidewalls as to if they are good tires or not..

i have 31/10.50/15's and i love them, they don't howl for how aggressive, good road manners, so i would recommend.

I run 265/70-R16s and I love them. They will gum up when going slow across clay type of mud (but most al A/Ts do). In snow I think they are amazing.

That's what I'm going to run on my Ranger. I can't say enough good things about them, they wear like iron.

Drove over 100 miles every day last 2 winters with them in a 2wd Dak (no LSD). I had regular street tires on the front and when the roads were really bad it was odd feeling not being able to steer, but still having traction in the rear.

I recommend this tire to any truck owner that doesn't want mud tires.

we had a freak snow storm here in pa tonight with 40 mph winds. I was on my way home from a friends and in a matter of 3 minutes time I went from clear roads to total white out conditions. I slowed down and popped on the hazards. there was a full size Chevy in front of me and in about 20 seconds time i couldn't even see the bug deflector on my hood.
I never had to put the ranger in 4x4 till i got into a gas station parking lot cause of the wet heavy snow i just wanted to be safe that i could get turned without hitting one of the already stopped cars...

these tires impressed me all to crap being i've never had this brand before,,

I believe the tread on AT2's to be more aggressive than some of the bigger name brand all terrain tires. I've read other people think that as well.

it was a shock to me how well these tires cleaned themselves..

For years I've read that they are very good in snow.

They are sever winter rated and are studdable too!

They have about the same performance as BFG A/T's all around basically the same tread pattern they are a good snow tire, cheap and perform like a normal A/T not really much more too them.
