My Manual 5-speed 2003 ext cab 3.0, all of a sudden over the last day, is idling at 1.5K rpms, and I'm noticing that when shifting, it feels like a sort of...clunkiness happens... meaning, more shifting noise than previously..

I know that's not tons to go on, but any thoughts?
I peeked under the hood, but saw nothing amiss(that I could see)

Thanks lads,
Rich

My high RPMs at shifting was solved by cleaning the TPS connector contacts. Signal from the TPS to PCM was not happening fast enough.

Understand that the RPM will stay higher when you're coasting in neutral as the speed sensor tells PCM to give higher RPM.
