I've heard of the throtle cable mod and I've done that but what is the air box mod people talk about? Anybody done it or have any pictures??

Pretty simple, it's just pulling the silencer out of the intake tube. Unless you go mudding a lot you can also drill a few 3/4" holes in the bottom of the airbox.
I tried it with my old Sport Trac but the airbox would not come out. I only succeeded in bending the fender lip with a crowbar after other alternatives were exhausted.
