Advise on engine assembly?

Well, if all goes as planned I'll be home and my heads should be ready next weekend.
I had em cleaned, checked, new valves, guides, seals, etc.
I also had em upgrade to 2.9 valves, I'm hoping this won't cause tuning issues later but we'll see...
So, for now I'm putting these heads on the block they came off.
Even though the heads were worn I still had decent compression so I'll run it like this and tear down the other block I have for a bottom end rebuild.

My question (finally) is, what sort of problems, lessons learned, etc. have you guys seen when reassembling your motors?

josht just did a complete rebuild,i'd ask him for some pointers.good luck and take pics and post em up as you go.
