1996 2.3 5 speed.
The ac compressor is making a knocking/ticking noise. When I first heard it I thought it was rods in the engine. With the ac compressor engaged it makes the sound. If I throttle up to 1000ish (no tach) the sound goes away.
Replaced the oriface tube and dryer today. It had 1 lb of 134 in it and it calls for 1 lb 9 oz. Refilled it to spec and noise is still there. Checked pressures, and they’re good too.
Any recommendations on what direction to go next?
