Hey folks new to the page here. I'm trying to locate the updated ECU flash for my 98. Does anyone know where I can look for such a critter? Before I go after replacing my ECU I figured I would try and re flash. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Ford wouldn't have it any more, well they would just wouldn't use it anymore
You can always ask a dealer, it's free to ask, lol
You will need the VIN for them to look it up
Someone who does Ford PCM(ECU) programming(speed shops) may have it, but they charge to re-flash so I doubt they would give it away
The places that sell re-built PCMs would have it but they SELL re-flashed PCMs, so..............
There should be a white sticker in the engine bay with a Code Number on it, that's the software code for your PCM, its also on the PCMs label, the larger number stamped on after label was printed
That's the "flash" you need
