Does anyone have any experience with a ranger 5.0 Swap with cross over steering? My son is running into an issue with it. He is running the threat D35 beams with cross over single swing steering and the oil pan is hitting one of the steering swinger mounts, we have trimmed as much as we could and have considered cutting and re-shaping the oil pan but where its hitting is right where the oil pump is. Any info would help. Thank You

Sounds like it's time to design some custom steering.

Which oil pan are you trying to use?

We bought a 2000 Ford Explorer and pulled the motor out. So whatever pan that comes with. Do you know of a smaller oil pan?

Most use a dual sump oilpan for a foxbody to put a 5.0 in a TIB/TTB truck. Also used in many 80's cars as well. You will also need the pickup tube and dipstick and maybe the one main cap stud, I don't know if Explorers used one or not.

Copy that. I will look into it. Thank you

Do you have a link you can send over for the oil pan?
