35's on the Juice Box.

I'm stuck on 35's for the B2. i believe i have a 2? inch lift now and i have 32's and they feel too small... 33's seem too common. haven't seen any lifted B2's around here. not much of anything around here bigger than 33's other than the unlimited number of high altitude full sizes trucks that need an extension ladder to get into and a oxygen mask to breathe that high in the atmosphere.

I want 35's on ~3 inches of suspension and/or body lift. smallest lift possible is the overall goal for now. i dont want a pilot's license to drive my truck. i've looked through the "post your lift/tire size" thread and seen some guys running 33's and 34's with 3 inches of lift and no to little trimming.

so anyways all babbling aside, 35's, 3 inches of lift, light to moderate trimming. truck will be 70% street and not any extreme off road.

this sound do-able?

Look at 4x4junkie's B2. Around 4" of lift and 35's with cut fenders.

i just looked up his Car Domain. he's running a 3.5 in sus lift and a 2 in body.

Yeah I'm probably almost at 6" total lift.

59Bisquik IIRC ran about 4" & 35s on his for awhile before he went to full-width axles.
A little trimming of the fenders, and shimming the axle forward at the radius arm bushings (or building a bit of extra length into the arms if you're making a set) is all you need to fit 35s. Just be prepared to deal with sealing up the rear, as trimming the rear fenders will open up a gap to the inside of the vehicle.

yeah, RUTH's i think. he ended up building custom rear fenderwells.....looks pretty good.

another guy on here is running 37's on 4 inches of lift, 86bii......something, cant remember. he may have a bit of rubbing though.

i feel like i'll fit 35's fairly easy. i was just checkin to make sure i wasnt trying something absolutely insane. haha

I ran 35's for quite a while with a 4" suspension lift and a bit of trimming. You might need to push the front axle forward a bit so when it flexes, you dont rub the firewall. You can do that by adding a washer or two in front of the radius arm bushings. As for the trimming, a cutoff wheel works well. leave an extra inch of material so it can be folded under for strength, just like stock. You can see a couple washers in front of the radius arm bushings in this pic:


What you want to do is move the front axle as far forward as you can before the passengerside axle hits against the backside of the pivot bracket for the driverside beam (you want to maintain a minimum of about ½" clearance there). Turning the d-side pivot bolt around so the nut is on the frontside will give you a bit more clearance there.
