Hello All,
My Ranger is giving me a little grief. My dashboard goes a little crazy. The power goes out and I cannot control certain functions.

Functions that go out:
Air/Heat power goes out no power.
Can't control the music volume or change station with round knobs no power.
Cross Traffic Alert goes out.
Blind Spot sensor goes out.
Sometimes the tire pressure alert goes too.
It warns the airbag is not working.
When I turn on the turn signals that dash indications it is flashing quickly (like a busted bulb), but outside it blinks normal.

This power problems goes back and forth. Drive for ten miles and then power goes out for 5 miles. Then it turns back on for a mile and back out.

The touch screen work well, but it shows that the air/heat is off can can't be controlled. I can control the radio volume on the steering wheel.

I have heard to replace the alternator, but it sounds like one module that needs to be replaced.

Any ideas? Thanks for any advice.
Aarin in middle Georgia.

A near death battery has been known to cause all sorts of wierd electrical gremlins on these trucks.. id start with a battery health check and then take it from there.
