Bought a 2001 Ranger XLT 4X4 with the 4.0 so I wouldn't have to commute in my F-350. It didn't run, and the guy I bought it from said he had changed the coil, which didn't help. He had also changed out the cam and crank position sensors. I found no pressure in the fuel rail, so I thought fuel pump, so I changed that out. It cranks, but it acts like the injectors aren't opening like they're supposed to. There's power to them, but I'm not sure the ground is working. My understanding is that the power is normally on to them, and the PCM grounds them out to open them.
I changed the computer because it was about the same cost as getting a couple of new keys, but it didn't help. I don't see any loose or broken wires under the hood.
I don't get any errors in KOEO, and I'm getting good spark.
I got a really good price on it, so I'm OK putting a little into it.
Any ideas?
